Srushti Deshmukh has started to prepare for the UPSC entrance in her third year of engineering degree. While she was graduating in engineering, she was unsure if it could make her feel happy. Eventually, she realised that civil services was her passion and devoted herself to it. The parents of her encouraged her to focus on civils, and find an opportunity to serve the people. She did not lose motivation, and remained focused solely in her pursuit of becoming an IAS. For UPSC to be successful it is more work needed. As she studied for her engineering classes She also had to work on different subjects for UPSC. The preparation for the exam was carried out every day. She spent only one month working on the test and kept completely off of social media and her social life. Her belief is that staying focused only on the work at hand is key to passing this test. She made a lot of effort to pass the test in her first attempt. Her habit was to go through newspapers in order to keep abreast of daily news. Also, she got lots of support online by collecting studies materials and watching Rajya Sabha TV.
