Suranne Jones
Sarah Anne Jones, better known as Suranne Jones, is an actress and producer who hails from England. The actress has earned fame her role as Ruth Slater in the miniseries "Unforgiven," as Detective Rachel Bailey in the police procedural drama "Scott & Bailey", as well as the role of GP Gemma Foster in the medical drama "Doctor Foster". Originating from Chadderton, Greater Manchester, Jones was a member of the Oldham Theatre Workshop and received her BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts from there. In the age of just eight, Jones began acting in a play called 'Wait till Dark. In the play, she portrayed Gloria. The first time she appeared on screen was in 1997 on an episode from 'Coronation Street'. The following year, she portrayed Karen McDonald in the series. Then, she was cast in several TV roles, including 'Vincent,"Strictly private" and 'Harley Street.' In addition, she has been seen on screen in films like "Love and a Longshot,' 'Broken Hearts, as well as 'A Christmas Star.
